Two local hoopsters will represent the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference ("WCAC") and the DMV in the 2016 McDonald's All-American game. DeMatha guard Markelle Fultz and Paul VI forward V.J. King were both named to the East roster for the prestigious all-star game in its 39th year.

Fultz, the reigning WCAC Player of the Year, is ranked tenth in the ESPN top 100 and has committed to Washington. King is ranked 26 in the ESPN top 100 and  has committed to Louisville.  This will be the first time since 2007 that two players from the WCAC have made the McDonald's All-American game roster. In 2007, guards Austin Freeman (DeMatha) and Chris Wright (St. John’s) were selected. Both Freeman and Wright played collegiately at Georgetown.

Fultz and King were also both named to the 2016 Jordan Brand Classic roster as well. The Jordan Brand Classic will be played April 15 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The 2016 McDonald's All-American game will be played at the United Center in Chicago on March 30th. The full roster for the 2016 McDonald's All American game can be viewed here.
