NATIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION

TIPS OFF ANNUAL TOP 100 HS BASKETBALL CAMP

With Current NBA Players Participating

NEW YORK, June 3, 2016 – The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) will host its annual Top 100 High School Basketball Camp (Top 100) from June 14-19 at the University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA. Top 100 is regarded as the premier basketball camp available to elite high school student-athletes around the world. Since its inception in 1994, almost 300 players have transitioned into successful careers in the National Basketball Association. Through classroom discussions and an extensive basketball program, Top 100 emphasizes character, education and skill development as the core principles necessary to maximize a player’s potential.

In addition, the NBPA Top 100 Camp provides a unique educational opportunity for current NBA players interested in becoming a coach or broadcaster after their NBA careers. Through the NBPA Coaching Program, NBA players receive hands-on experience coaching the best high school players in the world and attend special sessions that provide detailed analysis on preparing to be a coach. Additionally, for the second consecutive year, NBA players can test their broadcasting skills through the NBPA’s Sportscaster U Broadcast Program by reporting live from the games.

Media outlets interested in covering should apply online at http://top100camp.com/media-credentials/.  If you have a special request, please email Top100Media@nbpa.com.
