HWI: What other schools were recruiting you heavily?
Allen: Delaware, Towson, American, Mt. St. Mary's, Manhattan, UAB, George Mason, Hartford, and Quinnipiac
HWI: Who were your top choices coming down the stretch as you were about to make your final decision?
Allen: Delaware and Towson
HWI: Did you use any advice from your parents, coaches or teammates during the recruitment process?
Allen: Yes, I received a lot of good advice from close family and friends but I wanted to make the decision myself.
HWI: Did your cousin, Terrell Allen, play any role in helping you make a decision?
Allen: He's played a role in everything I do. I look up to him. When I got down to my final two schools, he gave me the advice to follow my heart.
HWI: At what point did you realize that this was the school for you? How?
Allen: When I walked around the campus, it just felt right; it felt like home.
HWI: What set this school apart from the other schools that were recruiting you?
Allen: Coach Martin made me feel like he believed in my game as much as I do, in fact, even more than I do.
HWI: What will you miss most about the recruiting process? What about the process will you not miss.
Allen: I'll miss the relationships that I built with the coaches, but I won't miss the constant phone calls every second of the day.
HWI: Now that the biggest decision of your high school career is over, what is motivating you about your senior season (what are you goals for this season)?
Allen: The number 1 thing on my mind is winning a WCAC championship. My personal goals will [eventually] come but my number 1 goal is winning that championship.
HWI: Are there any people you would like to thank in particular for helping with this process?
Allen: I want to thank my family, my loved ones, my coaches, and everyone who has been in my support system who never left me.
